The Denver Nuggets kept their season alive with a 119-107 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, forcing a decisive Game 7. But the victory came at a cost, as forward Aaron Gordon suffered a potential hamstring injury late in the fourth quarter — a worrying development for Denver heading into the winner-take-all showdown.

With just over a minute remaining, Gordon was chasing back on defense after a turnover when he appeared to pull up awkwardly, immediately reaching for his left hamstring. The incident drew instant concern from medical experts, with injury analyst Evan Jeffries quickly posting a video clip of the play on social media, writing, “Looks like Aaron Gordon may have tweaked his left hamstring — this is the biggest question mark heading into Game 7.”

A Troubling Parallel

The play bore an unsettling resemblance to Stephen Curry’s hamstring injury earlier this postseason in Game 1 against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Curry left that game after landing awkwardly on a jumpshot and was later diagnosed with a Grade 1 strain, missing the remainder of the series.

Coach, Player, and Expert Reactions

Following the game, Nuggets head coach David Adelman addressed the media and admitted the team is concerned about Gordon’s status. “I’m definitely worried about it. I don’t know the specifics yet, but it’s great that we have a couple of days before Game 7,” Adelman said.

Gordon, however, sought to ease fears, telling reporters postgame that he felt “fine” and intends to be ready for Game 7. “I’ll be out there,” Gordon said confidently.

Later, Evan Jeffries offered an updated assessment, noting Gordon’s reputation for toughness. “Aaron Gordon has always been one of those guys willing to play through pain. Let’s hope it’s nothing serious and no clear muscle strain shows up in testing.”

What’s Next

The Nuggets will have two full days before returning to Ball Arena for Game 7. Gordon’s availability will be a major storyline to monitor, as he’s been a vital two-way presence this series, averaging 14.7 points and 6.9 rebounds while regularly guarding the Thunder’s top scorers.

Denver, already thin on forward depth, can ill afford to lose another key piece in a must-win scenario.
